Badan Warisan: Proposal is a big step backwards


BADAN Warisan Malaysia (BWM) has grave concerns about the proposed redevelopment of the 110-year-old Vivekananda Ashram in Brickfields and considers it as taking a step backward in terms of heritage conservation.

Its executive director Elizabeth Cardosa said, “Looking at the artist impression that was featured in StarMetro, the 23-storey tower enveloping the historical building is like taking a huge step backward.
