Dispute over land status Gerakan wants proof that village was a cultural and religious zone


THE controversy surrounding a 200-year old Siamese village in Pulau Tikus continues with Gerakan calling on Pulau Tikus assemblyman Yap Soo Huey to show proof that the village in her area was a cultural and religious zone before 1996.

Penang Gerakan secretary Oh Tong Keong said that Yap should not point fingers at the previous state government.
