Kedah cops all set for elections

ALOR SETAR: Kedah police have made necessary preparations to ensure a smooth 13th general election including deploying 4,951 personnel.

“We have requested for extra manpower from Bukit Aman but in the meantime, other agencies such as Malaysian Civil Defence Department, Police Volunteer Reserve and People Volunteer Corps will help out,” Kedah police chief DCP Datuk Ahmad Ibrahim told a press conference at the Kedah police contingent headquarters here yesterday.
