A SEWAGE system costing RM12.6mil is being proposed for the six clan jetties in Weld Quay, Penang.
Pengkalan Kota assemblyman Lau Keng Ee said those living in the 205 houses at the Lim Jetty, Chew Jetty, Tan Jetty, Lee Jetty, Yeoh Jetty and Mixed Surname Jetty (or New Jetty) have been flushing their toilets into the sea for more than 50 years.
