THE name Gloria Ting Mei Ru is hardly heard of these days but when you see the statuesque woman in person, you will instantly remember her as the one crowned Miss Malaysia/World nearly a decade ago.

The 30-year-old actress-cum-model, who resides in Los Angeles, United States, is now a recognised pilot with the United States Federal Aviation Adminis-tration — a national aviation authority in the United States of America.
