GEORGE TOWN: The Thnee Kong Tnua (Jade Emperor God Temple) at the foot of Penang Hill took on a festive atmosphere with about 5,000 devotees thronging the temple on the eve of the deity’s birthday.
At the stroke of midnight, devotees celebrated the occasion which falls on the ninth day of the Chinese New Year.
