Story telling sessions

THE public is invited to a free story telling sessions at the British Council Kuala Lumpur with professional storyteller Keats Markandu as she shares stories and engages in arts and crafts activities for children aged five to 10. The sessions will be held on Nov 13, Nov 27 and Dec 4. The story telling sessions will be held from 1.15pm to 2.15pm. Admission is free but limited to 25 children per session. The session will be at British Council Ground Floor, West Block Wisma Selangor Dredging 142C, Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. Blood donation

THE National Blood Centre will be having mobile donation units at the following places today: Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Nilai, Negeri Sembilan (9am-4pm), Opus Group Sdn Bhd, sixth floor Menara 2 Faber, Jalan Desa off Jalan Klang Lama (9am-5pm), third floor room CIMB Bank, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur (9.30am-4pm), Negara Room lower lobby, Crowne Plaza Mutiara (10am-1pm).

Diabetes talk

THE Residents Association Community of USJ 17 and Garden Healthcare USJ19 will hold a Diabetes Epidemic showcase on Nov 13, 11.30am at the 19 USJ City Mall, First Floor, Concourse. Consultant cardiologist Dr Ng Swee Coon is giving a talk on diabetes and heart disease. There will be a free health check for the public. For details, call 012-288 2853.

THE Malaysia Diabetes Association and University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) will be organising a public forum on ‘Diabetes and Diet’ with free health screening and an exhibition from 8am-4pm on Saturday at the Dewan Sekapur Sirih, UMMC, Kuala Lumpur.
