FORMER Petronas officer Wilson Nyabong Injang has been sworn in as a political secretary to the Chief Minister.

A supreme council member of Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) and divisional secretary of Pelagus branch, Wilson has been with the national petroleum company for the past 26 years after graduating in electrical engineering.

The 51-year-old from Sungai Entuluh, Baleh Kapit, has been active in politics since 1983.

His swearing-in was witnessed by Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Alfred Jabu on behalf of Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud at Wisma Bapa Malaysia in Kuching yesterday.

Speaking to the press, Wilson said he would incorporate his experiences in Petronas, which comprise a lot of planning and strategising, in his duties as a political secretary.

PRS president Datuk Seri Dr James Masing said it was a happy moment for PRS and he was confident that Wilson would bring in the ‘Petronas culture’ that has the reputation of being efficient and co-ordinated.
