A traditional house in Arau, Perlis, shines with heritage as retired teacher Mohamad Jusoh Md Isa, 64, turns his personal collection into a gallery of Malaysian history.
The home in Kampung Mata Ayer houses more than 300 antiques and artefacts, borne out of Mohamed Jusoh’s deep interest in history, arranged in meticulous groupings and display cases.
The collection, begun in 2008, includes a gramophone, typewriters, radios, old coins, cameras, manuscripts, books, and even curios such as an ornate silk iron.
Mohamed Jusoh told Bernama he had amassed his collection through visits to flea markets in Perlis, Kedah and Penang and online, while some items were donated by the public.
