THREE new access roads are being planned to ease traffic congestion in and around the Cybersouth area in Dengkil, Selangor.

The proposed routes are from the Ketapang Bumi commercial area to the Selangor Cyber Valley roundabout, Compugate Sdn Bhd to Persiaran Apec, and the Saga Tunas Sdn Bhd-B18 road.

State infrastructure and agriculture committee chairman Izham Hashim (pic) said the Sepang Municipal Council (MPSepang) had been working with landowners on an infrastructure plan since 2016.

"This plan includes a direct road linking Cybersouth to Cyberjaya through Bukit Damar.

"However, the project has yet to be finalised as the owners involved have not begun development of their lands.

"As a result, there are currently only two access routes in and out of Cybersouth, contributing to congestion during peak hours," he said at the state assembly sitting in Shah Alam on Wednesday (April 29).

Datuk Seri Jamil Saleh (PN-Dengkil) had asked about measures taken to address traffic congestion in the area.

Opened in late 2020, Cybersouth has seen rising traffic volumes in recent years.

A recent social media post highlighting congestion there circulated widely, drawing an influx of comments from residents.
