Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) has cleared a temporary trading site in Pandan Indah, Selangor, after hawkers left behind business items that cluttered the area.

Enforcement officers conducted the seizure and clearing operation at Jalan Pandan Indah 1/25 and nearby areas, including the vicinity of a petrol station.

The action followed inspections and routine monitoring, which found some traders having left business items at the temporary site, affecting cleanliness and limiting public use of the space.

“Action was taken to ensure the area remains orderly, clean and safe for public use,” MPAJ said in a statement.

In a separate operation, MPAJ carried out licensing compliance checks on businesses in the Ampang Point area along Jalan Dato Ahmad Razali.

Five seizures were carried out against premises found to have breached licensing conditions, including causing obstruction in public areas.

The council added that the inspection was part of ongoing monitoring to ensure businesses adhere to regulations.

According to MPAJ, monitoring and enforcement would continue periodically to ensure compliance with regulations.

Complaints or feedback can be channelled through the MPAJ’s Public Complaints Management System (Sispaa) or the council’s toll-free line at 1-800-22-8100.
