THE Automotive Hi-Tech Valley (AHTV) project in Tanjung Malim, Perak has recorded total investment of RM1.66bil from January to September.
Perak tourism, industry, investment and corridor development committee chairman Loh Sze Yee said the figure was sourced from Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA).
He said the investment spanned 10 new projects and was expected to generate 815 job opportunities across various disciplines in the automotive and transport equipment sectors.
“The high-tech automotive hub aims to align with Industry 4.0 advancements and the growing electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem.
“The state government is collaborating with educational institutions, technical training centres and industry players to develop local talent capable of supporting AHTV’s growth,” he said in Ipoh.
Loh said these efforts were designed to ensure Perak maintained a competitive edge as a leading high-tech automotive hub in Malaysia and strengthen the state’s position as a key player in the country’s automotive industry.
