MALAYSIA’s first gold award-winning craft beer brand, PaperKite, has partnered with Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur to elevate craft beer experiences in celebration of its triple win at the World Beer Awards.
In recent years, craft beer has attracted a diverse audience with its wide range of flavours, aroma and textures, each brewed with passion and precision.
“PaperKite has always been about more than just brewing, it is about crafting stories and experiences that reflect local pride with global standards,” said its founder Alvin Lim.
“Our collaboration with Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur allows us to share our craft, our culture and our pride with more people while inspiring other Malaysian brands to pursue excellence beyond borders.
“It gives Malaysians the opportunity to enjoy their favourite local brews in a fresh, sophisticated setting,” he added.
Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur general manager Herman Kemp described the collaboration as a toast to Malaysia’s finest homegrown brews paired with world-class hospitality.
“We believe in creating authentic experiences for our guests, allowing them to enjoy the best of every moment.
“Partnering with PaperKite lets us celebrate local talent and creativity by giving our guests a taste of a truly world-class local craft beer,” said Kemp.
At the heart of the celebration was a specially curated beer-and-chocolate pairing experience.
Guests explored three of PaperKite’s award-winning beers paired with creations from Cacao Mixology and Chocolate.
Since 2022, PaperKite has grown into a brand recognised locally and internationally.
Founded with a mission to redefine Malaysia’s craft beer scene, its achievements highlight both its pursuit of excellence and its role in elevating the nation’s craft beer industry.
The brewery offers six locally brewed beers, including IPA, Copper Ale, Oatmeal Stout, Pale Ale, Hoppy Lager and Witbier, which are inspired by local culture and produced by a Malaysian team.
This commitment to local identity earned PaperKite multiple medals at the World Beer Awards, making it the first Malaysian craft brewery to win in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
