Advancing care economy in S’gor

Anfaal: Selangor International Care Summit will bring together parties to build an inclusive ecosystem.

THE Selangor International Care Summit is set to take place from Oct 9 to 11 as part of this year’s Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS).

Organised by the state government, the summit aims to advance the care economy through economic growth, social inclusion and innovation.

State women empowerment and welfare committee chairman Anfaal Saari said the summit would bring together stakeholders, thought leaders, policymakers, companies, non-governmental organisations and the public to build a more inclusive caregiving ecosystem.

“We intend to elevate the role of caregiving at the exhibition by showcasing care products and services, while stimulating both domestic and foreign investment to bolster our national economy.”

She said the summit would consist of four main components – care forum, care exhibition, care business matching and care town hall.

Present at the pre-launch at Shah Alam Convention Centre were state investment, trade and mobility committee Ng Sze Han and Wanita Berdaya Selangor chief executive officer Siti Faridah Abdul Samad.

Ng said, “SIBS brings together global brands, industry leaders and market players from around the world – opening up opportunities to network, exchange views, explore international markets, participate in business-matching sessions and forge strategic collaborations.

“We’re investing in people’s well-being and laying the economic foundations that will carry Selangor forward.”
