Over 300 people benefitted from a one-day medical camp held at Rumah Amal Cheshire Selangor (RACS) in Selayang.

Organised by Rotary Club of Bukit Kiara Sunrise (RCBKS), the camp saw medical, vision and cancer screenings for RACS residents as well as members of B40 and refugee communities in the area.

The camp aimed to create health awareness, provide medical consultations and treatments, and distribute free vitamins, deworming tablets and general medication, according to a media release by RCBKS.

Screenings were conducted by a dedicated team of 90 volunteers comprising members from RACS, RCBKS, Rotaractors from Bukit Kiara Sunrise and HELP University.

There were also volunteers comprising independent and IMU University doctors.

The vision screening was done by Lions Club of Ampang while the health screenings were conducted by Alpro Clinic, which also sponsored some of the medication.

National Cancer Society Malaysia conducted about 100 cancer checks for those aged above 40 while clinical breast examinations were performed for women aged above 18.
