Buildings in Kuala Lumpur transformed into nature’s canvas

WHILE Jalan Alor, Kuala Lumpur is known for its mouthwatering street food, another draw is its vibrant street art, which pays tribute to Malaysia’s natural beauty.

Among the flora-and-fauna-themed murals are a frog looking out from lush green leaves, a variety of fish swimming in water and birds resting on trees.

There are also colourful insects like ladybirds, dragonflies, butterflies and bees, fluttering between vibrantly coloured flowers and leaves.

The colours pop against the urban backdrop, attracting visitors to pause, take photos and admire the depiction of nature.

The murals have not only transformed what used to be dingy back lanes, they also celebrate Malaysia’s rich biodiversity and highlight the importance of conserving nature.
