Penang Badminton Association offers RM3,000 for most smashing logo design in centennial logo competition

MALAYSIANS have been invited to put their creative minds to good use by taking part in a logo design competition by Penang Badminton Association (PBA) in conjunction with its 100th anniversary.

PBA president Datuk Kah Kau Kiak said the historic celebration marked a significant moment not just for Penang’s badminton community but also for sport’s history in Malaysia.

“This logo design competition is a perfect blend of art and sports.

“It offers a unique opportunity to showcase the essence of Penang’s badminton heritage and its promising future,” he said in a media statement.

The competition is open to all Malaysians, regardless of professional design experience, as reported by Buletin Mutiara.

The logo design must align with the centennial celebration theme, reflecting the legacy and future of badminton.

It should be creative, easily recognisable and suitable for both digital and print applications.

Participants must submit their designs in high-resolution JPEG or PNG format, along with the original design file in AI or PSD format.

A written concept description not exceeding 100 words explaining the design inspiration must be submitted in a separate document, along with the participant’s full name, gender, IC number, address and contact details.

The submission deadline for the competition is at 11.59pm on April 15.

Entries must be sent via email to penangba@gmail.com.

The grand-prize winner will receive RM3,000, while four selected finalists will be awarded RM500 each.

The results will be announced in May and the winning and selected designs will be prominently featured in official centennial promotions, commemorative merchandise, and event materials of the PBA.

Kah said the competition served as a platform for the public to participate while honouring the sport’s rich history.

“We look forward to seeing designs that embody the spirit of Penang badminton, its tradition and innovation,” he added.
