Rapid Bus will launch seven new routes for Rapid KL On-Demand services


RAPID BUS Sdn Bhd, the operator of Rapid KL bus services and MRT feeder buses, will launch seven new routes for Rapid KL On-Demand services starting March 10.

Rapid Bus said in a statement that the selection of these new areas aligns with local needs and population density, and 18 vans will operate on the new routes.

The routes are T466B (UNITEN – Bangi), T253B (Wangsa Maju LRT – Sri Rampai), T254B (Titiwangsa – Chow Kit), T606B (Bandar Kinrara – Jalan Puchong), T651B (Taman OUG – Kuchai Lama), T255B (Bukit Antarabangsa – Setiawangsa) and T202B (Taman Melati – Gombak Setia)

Acting Chief Executive Officer of Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd Ku Jamil Zakaria said 19 routes have been in operation since the On-Demand service was introduced in 2023.

"By June, more routes will be introduced in stages in line with the arrival of new vans to facilitate passengers' journeys further.

"At Rapid Bus, we aim to make public transport the preferred choice for commuters to reach their destination," he said in a statement.

Since the Rapid KL On-Demand service was expanded to 10 new routes on Feb 1, the highest recorded daily ridership has reached 1,928 passengers.

The Rapid KL On-Demand service offers guaranteed seating, which can be booked using the Mobi, Trek Rides, or Kummute mobile applications (depending on the area) from 6am to 11.30pm.

With a promotional fare of RM1 per trip, passengers can make payments via Touch ‘n Go Card, • MyRapid Concession Card, OKU Smile Travel Pass and Unlimited Travel Passes (My50, MyCity and Family Pass)

The RM1 promotional fare has been extended to allow more people to experience this service.
