Two hurt after tree falls on them in Jalan Pudu

KUALA LUMPUR: A woman and a teenage girl were injured after a tree fell on them near Swiss-Garden Hotel Bukit Bintang in Jalan Pudu this morning.

According to Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), the fallen tree was blocking two lanes of Jalan Pudu.

It advised motorists in the Pudu area to use alternative routes following a tree fall incident.

“DBKL, along with the Fire and Rescue Department and the police, are at site for clearing works and traffic management.

“Road users are advised to use alternative routes and follow authorities instructions,” it said in a statement.

According to a news portal quoting the KL Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson, the 39-year-old woman and the teenager,15, have both been sent to the hospital.

The Fire and Rescue Department said it received a report on the incident at 10.44am.
