Mohd Fauzi clocks in as Shah Alam City Council’s 12th mayor


DATUK MOHD Fauzi Mohd Yatim clocks in on Tuesday morning (June 4) as Shah Alam City Council’s (MBSA) 12th mayor after meeting with Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari at the Selangor State Secretariat Building.

Mohd Fauzi met senior officers at Wisma MBSA, including deputy mayor Madiyan Baweh, Selangor Palace representative Datuk Emran Kadir and secretary Asmah Mohd Zin, where he caught up on the workings of the council.

The media were not allowed to interview Mohd Fauzi.

Previously, he served as the Subang Jaya City Council mayor for 13 months from May 2, 2023.

Mohd Fauzi, who hails from Terengganu, was the former Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ)

president and Sepang Municipal Council (MPSepang) president.

Mohd Fauzi had also served as Hulu Selangor district officer (2015-2019) and Gombak district

chief assistant officer from 2011 to 2016.

Mohd Fauzi holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) from Universiti Sains Malaysia and a

Diploma in Public Management from the National Institute of Public Administration (Intan).

He had also served as the chief assistant secretary of the corporate division of the Housing and Local Government Ministry (KPKT).
