Encouraging open discussions about mental health awareness

IN an effort to help empower women in Malaysia, MTD Group arranged a mental health awareness talk in conjunction with International Women’s Day.

The event was organised by Women, Family and Community Development Ministry at Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre.

The talk demonstrated MTD’s commitment to supporting mental health awareness campaigns among the community and promoting initiatives with a positive impact on mental well-being.

It involved strategic partners, encouraging open discussions about mental health and providing resources and support for individuals struggling with mental health challenges.

Steered by moderator Fedtri Yahya, the panel included KPWKM deputy secretary-general (strategic) Chua Choon Hwa, Health Ministry public health physician Dr Nurashikin Ibrahim and motivational figure and celebrity Dr Soo Wincci.

“MTD is committed to empowering the community by facilitating open dialogue and providing resources,” said MTD’s chief operating officer II Dr Nik Fauzan Nik Faizul.

“Through education, empowerment and compassion, we believe that together we can overcome obstacles and foster a supportive culture for the mental well-being of Malaysians.”

The talk was attended by Women, Family and Community Development Deputy Minister Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad, MTD Group board member Nik Faeruz Nik Hussain and MTD’s chief operating officer I Reime Rizal Abdul Aziz.

Also present at the event were the ministry’s secretary-general Datuk Maziah Che Yusoff and Women Development department director-general Dr Wan Nur Ibtisam Wan Ismail.

MTD Properties offered several activities for women, including exclusive Women’s Day discounts on registrations and purchases at Residensi Sutera 7, Kajang.

Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri had also visited the exhibition which offered information about the latest housing projects in Taman Sutera Kajang (Phase 10).
