Bookstore campaign for children

Children’s Carnival 2.0 @ Popular has exciting events until Dec 31.

Popular bookstore is inviting everyone to its carnival organised to give children a brighter future.

Children’s Carnival 2.0 @Popular is part of its corporate social responsibility initiative to build a better future for young people and cultivate a love for reading in Malaysia.

The ongoing campaign until Dec 31 is at all Popular and Harris bookstores in Malaysia.

Part of the proceeds will be used to help local underprivileged children overcome hunger and poverty, and those cannot afford to buy medicine and reading materials and for education.

Beneficiaries include Agathians Shelter, Dignity for Children Foundation, Unicef and World Vision.

Shoppers can enjoy rebates on selected children’s books while other promotions include a buy- -and-win contest, top spender contest and freebies with purchases.

There will also be fun activities for everyone.

Tomorrow, a children’s colouring competition will be held concurrently at IPC Shopping Centre, Damansara, Selangor; AEON Mall Alpha Angle, Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur; and The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey, Johor Baru, from noon to 2pm.

Little ones can also join and win a total prize of RM1,840 in two categories.

The competition is free and is open to children aged between five and 12.

On Dec 17, the competition will be held at Sunway Carnival Mall in Penang from 3pm to 5pm.

Visitors can also step into a world of imagination and wonder during the English Storyteller activity.

Tomorrow, the storyteller will weave his tales at IPC Shopping Centre from 3pm to 4pm.

Then on Dec 9, the storyteller will take you on an enchanting ride through the world of literature at AEON Mall Alpha Angle from 2pm to 3pm.
