 Ferria KL bar offers a range of cocktails inspired by the flavours and ingredients of the tropical rainforest, each served in unique glassware.

Rum is the base for most of the cocktails, others use whiskey.

Tropical fruits like pineapples add citrusy and refreshing notes.

Signature cocktails include Monkey Business that has rum, Malibu rum and coconut cream which has a sweet, fruity and tropical taste.

For something more zesty, try Fun in the Wild that is made of gin, passionfruit and lime.

The ingredients create a well-balanced drink with a complex flavour profile.

Enjoy cocktails inspired by the four seasons at The Alchemy bar, where gin takes centre stage.

The gin bar is also named after the Alkkemist Gin, which uses Muscat grape in its production.

Each of the six signature cocktails has individualised descriptions with interesting facts.

James Bond fans will immediately identify the Vesper cocktail, made of gin, vodka, Lillet Blanc and lemon twist.

It is also the name of James Bond’s love interest in the movie Casino Royale.

Other signature cocktails to try include Bee’s Knees, which is made of gin, fresh lemon juice and honey.

The Butterfly is made of butterfly pea-infused gin, elderflower liqueur and lemon juice.

For something stronger, order Corpse Reviver 2 which consists of gin, Lillet Blanc, Cointreau, absinthe and lemon juice.

Guests can request for their gin of choice in the signature cocktails.

MARIA’S SIGNATURE

Primarily known for its prime beef cuts and steaks, Maria’s cocktail menu was created by Malaysia’s first female award-winning mixologist Amanda Wan.

The 10-cocktail menu reflects Maria’s origins, using Ipoh’s signature ingredients.

One of the signature drinks, Pompaloma, uses pomelo which is synonymous with Ipoh, mixed with reposado tequila, grapefruit juice, agave syrup and lime juice with pomelo pulp.

Ipoh’s famous peanut brittle is incorporated into the Sesame Sour cocktail, a mix of bourbon, roasted hazelnut toffee syrup, lemon juice, sesame oil and egg white.

Oolong Fashioned is a concoction of bourbon infused with longan, oolong tea syrup, Angostura bitters as well as torched longan shell.

Other cocktails include Violet Tonic with a lavender and butterfly pea-infused gin, elderflower, pandan syrup, lime juice and dried rosebuds while the Earl Grey Tea-Ni is a mix of vodka, milk-clarified Earl Grey tea, rose syrup, lemon juice, egg white, crushed rosebuds and orange slivers.

The cocktail menu is available at Bangsar, KLCC, 1Powerhouse and Sunway.

Astor Bar’s “Art of Drinking” launch featured a series of creative cocktails.

It took guests through an immersive adventure of New York’s five neighbourhoods – Lower Manhattan, Midtown, Upper Manhattan, East Side and West Side.

Each was represented by A Ritual Fizz, Royal Palladium Fizz, Duke of Jazz, Roselle’s Julep and Clarke Colada respectively.

A Ritual Fizz is a combination of coffee-infused limoncello, cream, lemon, orange blossom water, sugar and soda while Royal Palladium Fizz is a mix of Prosecco, vodka, cherry brandy, pineapple, Sakura, honey and lime.

The Duke of Jazz incorporates white rum, tequila, pineapple, honey water, lemon and Oleo Saccharum (infused syrup) while the Roselle’s Julep, a whiskey lover’s choice, is a concoction of rye whiskey, strawberry and honey shrub, mint and Angostura bitters.

Globally, each St Regis hotel has its own take on the classic Bloody Mary cocktail.

At St Regis Kuala Lumpur, the Asam Boi Mary takes inspiration from the local hawker drink.

It combines asam boi-infused vodka, tomato, calamansi, paprika, Sarawak black pepper, cili padi as well as hot sauce for a delightful kick.

It draws its inspiration from the enduring legacy of Kien Fatt Medical Store, a traditional Chinese medicine shop that has stood the test of time in Petaling Street for nearly eight decades, weathering through different periods of history and economic cycles.

Another signature is The Merchants cocktail which has a Black Tea-infused Auchentoshan 12 Years Whisky base.

It is mixed with Bentong ginger syrup, grapefruit bitters, Angostura Bitters, earl grey and tangerine smoke.

The drink pays homage to Kong Wooi Fong Tea Merchants, a humble venture founded by Liew Da Zhi in 1928.

Driven by the goal of providing for his family, he sowed the seeds of an enterprise that would stand the test of time.

What started as a modest endeavor has flourished for over 90 years, spanning four generations and today, the business stands as one of the leading tea traders in the country.
