MALAYSIAN Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) executive chairman Tan Sri Mohamad Salim Fateh Din has received the Eagle Award from St John’s Alumni Association (SJAA).

It was given to recognise his achievements and also his support of his alma mater, St John’s Institution in Kuala Lumpur.

Mohamad Salim, who has been a member of SJAA for 49 years, expressed his appreciation when met after the awards ceremony.

“I’m deeply honoured to have received this award as both my primary and secondary schooling was in St John’s,” he told Bernama during the event held at a convention centre in Bukit Kiara.

He explained that the eagle was a symbol of the school.

The Eagle Award is given to SJAA members who have made a notable difference in their community, industry, arena of life or field of study.

Mohamad Salim was named Property Icon at the Pangkor Dialogue in 2016.

He was named Best Business Icon at the Utusan Business Awards in 2015.

The same year, he was also given the Best Global Masterclass CEO title at the Middle East Business Leaders Summit.
