THE murals on the buildings beside the River of Life (RoL) project by Kuala Lumpur City Hall are a sight to behold.

At night, the river near Masjid Jamek area is lit with a stunning cobalt blue colour.

In the morning, it is the turn of the colourful murals at Persiaran RoL to grab attention.

They showcase the river’s role in Kuala Lumpur in olden days.

On many days, tourists and locals can be seen posing for a photo in front of the murals.

The RoL project, launched in 2011, set out to transform and revitalise the river into a liveable waterfront icon with high economic value.

The area is also listed among 10 of the world’s best waterfronts.
