Kampung Baru villagers look forward to new apartments in Simpang Ampat

AFTER fighting for almost 30 years for better living conditions, 140 families who are the original residents of Kampung Baru in Simpang Ampat, Bukit Mertajam in Penang, will each be given a new apartment unit in three years’ time.

Twenty-two of their extended families will be offered a unit at a controlled price by the state government.
