YAYASAN Mesra Selangor (YMS) has signed agreements with three strategic partners to expand its range of welfare services for those in need.

YMS chairman Rodziah Ismail said the latest collaborations would look into providing meat during Hari Raya Haji, more kidney dialysis facilities and care for senior citizens.

The first memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed was with Mudahamal Ventures Sdn Bhd that runs the mudahamal.com, an online platform that will facilitate YMS’ Mesra Qurban programme.

“The public can donate any amount of cash for the programme through YMS, and mudahamal.com will make the arrangement to deliver the meat,” Rodziah said at the signing ceremony at Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Building in Selangor.

YMS also signed an MOU with haemodialysis care and treatment centre Gedung Penawar Sdn Bhd that will set up 10 dialysis centres called “Dialisis Mesra Selangor” in the state by early next year.

Rodziah said the dialysis centres would be located near People’s Housing Projects and would benefit about 2,000 patients.

“Currently, the state has five dialysis centres known as ‘Pusat Dialisis Rakyat’,” she added.

The third agreement was signed with Noble Care Malaysia Sdn Bhd, an aged care services and facilities provider.

Rodziah, who is also Selangor housing, urban well-being and entrepreneur development committee chairman, said the state government would collaborate with Noble Care to set up five nursing homes called “Pusat Mesra Wargamas”.

She said they wanted to address the people’s problem in taking care of their elderly and sick parents.

“We want to provide some relief to those caring for elderly persons suffering from terminal diseases or dementia, among others,” she said.

YMS chief operating officer Zahariman Ariffin hoped the services offered would benefit the masses.

The foundation was established in 2021 to provide assistance to those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

It is a subsidiary under the Selangor Housing and Property Board that has continued to expand to other charitable initiatives for the welfare of Selangor folk.
