Take your pick from 50 local holiday packages


White water rafting is among the holiday activities offered by Tourism Malaysia.

TOURISM Malaysia is having a promotion of 50 niche local tourism packages in conjunction with its 50th anniversary celebration.The 50 packages are planned in collaboration with 21 registered travel agencies and four tourism product owners, including spas and homestays. They are offered at 50% discount at a price of RM50 or RM50.50, and under other deals.

You have a choice to go hiking, caving, jungle trekking, kayaking, cycling, camping, caravanning, scuba diving, golfing, birdwatching, white water rafting, waterfall abseiling, jet skiing, rock climbing, nature walking and animal sighting.

You can also stay at homestays or go on night safari or river cruise.

The packages include heritage walks, theme parks, museums and spas.

The offers are until Aug 10, 2023, for the travel period until March 31, 2024.

“These niche tourism packages are in line with the latest travel trends, as people are now inclined to choose products based on experiential tourism,” says Tourism Malaysia director-general Datuk Zainuddin Abdul Wahab.

“There are 32 travel and nature packages, seven lifestyle packages, six cultural and heritage packages, and five packages of marine activities and sports tourism on offer,” he says.
