Special menus to spread cheer to those in need

Bake x dignity is offering a delectable selection of baked goods including Bundt cakes, shortbreads and cookies.

CELEBRATIONS, in typical Malaysian style, inevitably involve food.

What if the food you order could also help those in need?

Eat x dignity, a transformational enterprise by local NGO Dignity for Children Foundation (Dignity), is offering a special festive meal for dine-in and delivery until Jan 1.

Each order comprises the 25-Herb-Infused Roast Chicken with Gravy, Butter Rice with Dill, Grilled Vegetables and Potatoes, Salad with Caramelised Nuts and Mango Panna Cotta served with Peach.

The family set meal costs RM180 (excluding delivery) and can feed five to eight persons.

Dignity’s head of transformational enterprises Natalie Tan said: “Eat x dignity is a social enterprise set up to train and equip the B40 community with practical life skill sets.

“The cafe crew works together to come up with special menus each festive season.

“This year, the theme was to celebrate Dignity’s upcoming 25th anniversary, so they came up with the 25-Herb Chicken. The dish is a labour of love and joy.”

Dignity’s other transformational enterprise, bake x dignity, is offering a delectable selection of baked goods such as Bundt cakes, shortbreads and cookies. They are also available until Jan 1.

Depending on the choice of flavours, the Bundt cakes range from RM80 to RM85 per cake, and the shortbreads and cookies are priced from RM25 to RM33.

They can be purchased individually or in gift bag sets.

Eat x dignity’s cafe is at 25-G, Jalan 11/48a, Sentul Raya Boulevard, Kuala Lumpur.
