Supplies egg-stra slow in coming

SUPPLY of the country’s cheapest and steadiest source of protein – chicken eggs – is falling to worrying levels and Penangites are feeling it too.

Premium, nutritionally-fortified eggs are still available but checks in supermarkets, wet markets and wholesaler shops in Penang reveal that regular chicken eggs are becoming scarce.
