Malaysia China International Trade Link Association (Macita) and ES Event Management Sdn Bhd have three events lined up for small and medium enterprise industry players.

After a two-year break, the Malaysia International Branding Showcase (MIBS) returns for its 17th edition, along with the inaugural Malaysia Branding Showcase (MyBrandS).

Both events will be held concurrently from Dec 2 to 4 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Meanwhile, the 33rd Malaysia International Machinery Fair (MIMF) will take place from Dec 1 to 3 at Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec) in Kuala Lumpur.

The International Branding Showcase will feature the 8th Zhejiang Export Fair (Malaysia), which is co-hosted by the Zhejiang province department of commerce and Zhejiang Broad International Convention and Exhibition Co Ltd.

Macita president Datuk Chong Chong Tik said the events were a great platform for trade partners and associates to meet.

“For the first time, the event will combine physical and digital exhibitions.

“Most useful for participants is the online business-matching sessions where exhibitors can connect with others,” he said at the soft launch of the three events at KL Convention Centre.

Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) chief operating officer Noor Ahmad Hamid, who launched the event, said the exhibitions were a significant platform, enabling Malaysian products to be promoted overseas.

“This exhibition also provides opportunities for exhibitors to forge business ties and gain insight into the latest innovations, technologies and products, all in one place.

“It will also feature a large delegation from China. We are hopeful that this will be a breakthrough event in having international delegates.

“Our entire ecosystem of venues as well as exhibition and conference organisers are looking forward to having international delegates back on our shores,” he added.

Macita honorary life president Puan Sri Susan Cheah acknowledged the dedication of the association members in organising the events with the ES Event Management team.

“Macita, under the leadership of Chong, has promoted Malaysia to more than 26 provinces in China throughout the years,” she said.

Also present at the launch were Macita deputy president Datuk Naim Mohamad, vice-president Ong Yew Chee, ES Event Management general manager Datin Fang Shu Hua and affiliate associations.

Some 250 exhibitors are expected at MIBS and MyBrandS, showcasing products from different regions of Asia to gain brand identification among customers and trade partners.

It will feature brands and products ranging from mechanical and electronic items to home furnishing supplies, accessories as well as food and beverage.

Meanwhile, MIMF will have 450 booths featuring local and international exhibitors showcasing equipment for plastic moulds, tools, food processing and packaging as well as for signs and LEDs.
