WITH international travel opening up again, a health and beauty chain store is holding a campaign to reward shoppers with a trip to the Philippines.

Watsons Malaysia has teamed up with Tourism Promotion Board Philippines (TPBP) in Malaysia and Malaysia Airlines for the promotion to reward Watsons members with a package tour to enjoy Manila’s tourist spots.

The campaign was launched by Philippines Embassy vice-consul Kara Denise C. Frayco and Watsons Malaysia managing director Caryn Loh in Kuala Lumpur.

Also present were TPBP customer director Datuk Melissa Ong and Watsons Malaysia customer director Danny Hoh.

“We are excited to collaborate with Tourism Promotion Board Philippines and Malaysia Airlines.

“We are glad to have the Philippines as a destination of our holiday giveaway,” said Loh.

The campaign will give 40 Watsons members a chance to win four-day, three-night package tours to Manila when they spend a minimum of RM50 at Watsons stores and online from June 30 to Aug 3. This contest is open to all Watsons members nationwide.

“As international borders have reopened and travel has become more accessible and safer, we encourage everyone to experience the Philippines through a multisensory experience.

“We look forward to showing you why ‘It’s More Fun in the Philippines’, as our tourism slogan goes,” said Philippines ambassador to Malaysia Charles C. Jose.

This is the second time Watsons Malaysia has partnered with TPBP for a similar promotion.

In 2018, 40 winners and their travel partners were flown to explore the islands of Bohol, Cebu and Oslob for four days to discover interesting sights, food, diving spots and historical landmarks.

Malaysian singer and influencer Yazmin Aziz, who is of Malay-Filipino parentage said, “When Watsons engaged me for this campaign, I was excited because I knew it would be an insightful and enriching experience for Watsons members, especially with the cuisine and attractions in Manila.

“The Philippines has so much to offer and I cannot wait for the winners to experience it.”

Loh said, “This is also our way of showing appreciation to Watsons members who have been supporting us throughout the years.

“We hope to reward more members with giveaways every time they use the Watsons card.”
