THE 60-year-old wooden jetty in Teluk Bahang, Penang, which collapsed after strong waves battered its pillars in December, will connect with the Taman Negara Teluk Bahang jetty once it is repaired.

Centre for Marine and Coastal studies (Cemacs) director Prof Datuk Dr Aileen Tan said a local contractor was carrying out the repair works at the wooden jetty with the funds raised by Cemacs and Balik Pulau MP Datuk Muhammad Bakhtiar Wan Chik.
