SIXTY-NINE tablets complete with Internet access for a year were presented to needy students from two schools in Penang by AmBank Group.

The Kuala Lumpur-based banking group, represented by its executive vice-president Syed Anuar Syed Ali, also presented food aid to the SMK Sungai Ara and SMK Tun Syed Sheh Barakbah students from B40 families.

The initiative was part of the group’s corporate social responsibility initiatives to reach out to underprivileged communities.

“We hope the donations will lighten the burden of students and parents during the Covid-19 pandemic recovery period.

“The tablets will greatly help the students with their online learning when they have to stay at home,” Syed Anuar said in a statement

The tablet and aid presentation ceremony was attended by Syed Anuar along with other AmBank staff members.
