PENANG’s robust jewellery industry has propelled the state to contribute to 80% of Malaysia’s gold jewellery export.

Penang tourism and creative economy committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin said the industry which had been developed and nurtured in Penang for more than 100 years should be sustained in years to come.
