DBKL to shut down Ramadan bazaars that repeatedly violate SOPs

KUALA Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) will close down bazaars that flout Covid-19 standard operating procedure (SOP) continuously.

Following a report on the lack of SOP compliance at the Masjid India Foodtruck bazaar along Jalan Bunus 6, City Hall said that they will take stern action against bazaar organisers who do not heed their advice on tightening of SOP.

“DBKL always ensures SOP compliance among Ramadan and Aidilfitri bazaars. This includes having a different entrance and exit for visitors while the numbering system is a good way to control the crowd entering the bazaars at one time.

“However, the bazaar at the said location was not organised by DBKL.

“We will continue to monitor the situation and enforce strict SOP at the bazaars, ” said DBKL in the statement.

DBKL also urged visitors to bazaars to adhere to the SOP at all times.
