Mall ready to celebrate country’s diversity

Aman Central has lined up various exciting activities and deals for shoppers.

IN a bid to liven up this Merdeka Day and Malaysia Day, Aman Central Mall in Alor Setar, Kedah, has planned plenty of activities to celebrate the country’s diversity and unity.

The celebrations this year have been themed ‘#KitaJagaKita’ and ‘Malaysia Prihatin’ as mentioned by Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah.

They are meant to mark the nation’s efforts in facing the trials posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Among the activities are the AC Throwback and Merdeka Redemption (until Sept 20) which allows shoppers to redeem Aman Central limited edition food containers worth RM100.

Shoppers just need to post a picture taken at a photo booth with retro elements on their Instagram account upon spending RM200 in two combined receipts. Those with the best pictures will also get an exclusive National Day gift.

There is also the Go Green Campaign (until Sept 29) where shoppers get to redeem a reusable yellow and green (the colours of the Kedah flag) tote bag upon spending RM500 and above in two combined receipts on the same day.

The Terrarium Workshop on Sept 18 is limited to only 15 people to avoid crowding and ensure that physical distancing is followed.

Participants will get to take home their own ‘forest in a bottle’ after spending RM200 in two combined receipts) at the end of the workshop.

The highlights at the mall must be the People’s Choice Awards (until Aug 31) and the Crafting An Icon event (until Sept 16) where cash prizes and vouchers of between RM200 and RM2,000, and BMW exclusive merchandise are up for grabs.

In the People’s Choice Awards, shoppers vote for their favourite food and beverage outlet to stand a chance to win up to RM2,000 in Aman Central F&B vouchers.

Simply spend RM30 in three combined F&B receipts on the same day to cast the vote.

Shoppers will also get a cutlery set (while stocks last) after casting their votes.

For the Crafting An Icon event, shoppers need to doodle an art piece with the theme ‘Modern Malaysia vs Heritage’. They will need to use their imagination to portray patriotism.

There will be 10 finalists who will then battle it out on Sept 16 to win between RM200 and RM1,000 BMW exclusive merchandise and a certificate.

For more information and real-time updates, check Aman Central’s Facebook page ( or Instagram account (@amancentral) or call the concierge (04-7352626).

Shoppers have been assured that the management is doing its best to ensure a safe environment.
