Foundation fetes elderly in Klang home

RESIDENTS of Tiam Yam Toh Teng Senior Citizens Home in Jalan Cox, Klang, were treated to a Chinese New Year lunch by the Malaysian Retail Chain Association (MRCA) Branding, Education, Charity Foundation.

Foundation chairman Datuk Albert Chiang said it was happy to share festive cheer with the underprivileged.

“It is a tradition for MRCA to reach out to the less fortunate during festive occasions, ” he added.

MRCA charity project head Datin Flora Tan said the event allowed its members to

mingle.

MRCA deputy president Datuk Vincent Choo added, “We must be compassionate, grateful and generous. Our foundation’s aim is to lift people up.

“We just want the senior citizens here to have a smile on their faces during CNY.”

Earlier, Chiang handed a mock cheque for RM10,000 to the home.

Guests also tossed yee sang and watched a lion dance performance.
