Group’s gifts of love and care for children in four homes

Children from Bodhi Homecare beaming with happiness on receiving toys, clothes and everything else they wished for from the UCSI Group.

HOMES for financially disadvantaged children and orphans received gifts and essentials from UCSI Group as part of its efforts to give back to the community.

Four welfare homes in Cheras and Kajang – Persatuan Rumah Sayangan, Bodhi Homecare, Rainbow Home and Persatuan Rumah Caring Kajang – were selected to be part of the group’s “Gifts of Love and Care” campaign.

The month-long campaign saw UCSI staff and students contribute to a wish list from more than 100 children.

The children’s wishes were compiled by UCSI-SDG Sayangi Campaign committee in November.

Cards containing the wishes were then displayed at the foyer of UCSI University’s new Block G so that students and staff could pick a card, buy and deliver the gift at a designated counter.

The campaign was in accordance with Goal 17 of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal (UN SDG) which aims to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalisation of global partnership for sustainable development.

In Sarawak, UCSI University is recognised by the United Nations University (UNU) as a Regional Centre of Expertise (RCE) for promoting UN SDGs.
