Call to raise state poverty line income

A BACKBENCHER is calling for the state poverty line to be set higher.

Gooi Hsiao-Leung (PH-Bukit Tengah) said the state’s current poverty line income (PLI) of RM790 per household per month is lower than the fixed national poverty line of RM980.
