KUCHING: In the coffee world, Liberica has long been the less well-known species compared to the better regarded Arabica and Robusta.

But in Sarawak, where Liberica was introduced in the mid-19th century, coffee professionals are hoping to encourage its cultivation and development as a quality brew.
