Fabulous food for fashion crowd

Colourful Christmas decorations livening up the holiday mood at DVO’s central plaza.

THE DVlicious Food Festival at Design Village Outlet (DVO), touted as the largest such festival in south Seberang Prai, proved to be a hit with the fashion flock.

Held to celebrate Christmas as well as DVO’s second anniversary, the event drew thousands of hungry visitors.

It was launched recently by state Tourism, Culture, Heritage and Arts Committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin.

Each DVlicious Food Festival will last three days (Friday to Sunday, 5pm onwards) over six weekends until Dec 30 at the DVO in Jalan Cassia Barat 2, Bandar Cassia in Nibong Tebal.

More than 70 food and beverage operators serving delights like char koay teow, roast Kambing Golek, Arabian kebab and traditional Malay kuih are expected to take part each weekend.

There will also be activities like musical theatre and live band shows to entertain visitors.

Further igniting the year-end shopping atmosphere is the Jolly Holly Christmas promotion from now until Jan 1.

Shoppers stand a chance to win a Carlo Rino handbag with a minimum purchase of RM300 and above.

They are also eligible to redeem a Carlo Rino pouch and get a free merry-go-round ride.

For more information, contact the customer service hotline (04-589 9866) or visit the official website www.designvillage.today.

DVO, which opened its doors in Nov 2016, has 150 stores housing a variety of international and local brands covering fashion, beauty, sports and home decor as well as restaurants and lifestyle cafes.

Shoppers can take a break from picking up bargains and relax at the lush 9.7ha tropical garden.

There are also captivating Jewel Boxes at every corner to catch the eye.
