CHRISTMAS magic sparkles up Pavilion Kuala Lumpur with Disney’s Mickey Mouse frontlining celebrations this year.
This is the first time Pavilion REIT is collaborating with The Walt Disney Company Malaysia, and the recent launch of the “Disney Celebrate The Magic: Dream Christmas” was a joyous one.
Present was guest-of-honour Federal Territories Minister

The showcase of Disney’s favourite characters in the impressive decor, which can be enjoyed until Jan 1, is part of the mall’s promise to be a destination of dreams in conjunction with its Visit Pavilion 2018 campaign.
Mickey fans will be greeted by a spectacular 6.1m-high sculpture at the Centre Court, and across from this is a 1,000 Mickey-Figurine Christmas Tree, the first in Asia. It features 15.2cm Mickey figurines created by Malaysians from all walks of life.
In her speech, Yap said Pavilion KL was also celebrating its 10th anniversary and the mall has been instrumental in elevating Bukit Bintang’s status as the country’s key shopping district and major tourist spot.
“The value of real estate within the vicinity has also been upgraded and appreciated.
“With this 10-year achievement, we wanted to conclude the Visit Pavilion 2018 campaign with a ‘wow’ factor that has become synonymous with Pavilion KL celebrations. We are proud to partner with one of the most beloved international brands, Disney.”
She added that the Disney collaboration would be seamlessly adapted in campaigns in the other Pavilion REIT malls, namely Da Men Mall and Intermark Mall.
Meanwhile, Khalid said the ministry aimed to ensure tourism-related programmes and facilities were systematically provided towards turning the Federal Territories into a tourism hub for shopping, education, healthcare and conservation efforts.

He said with the number of urban renewal schemes carried out successfully, “without doubt Pavilion Kuala Lumpur could be the classic success story of urban renewal playing a major role in transforming Kuala Lumpur into a world-class player”.
Guests at the launch comprised the media, partners, tenants and friends of Pavilion KL, who were later treated to an evening of sights, sounds and excitement, as the mall’s staff put on a Christmas dance performance.
Outside the mall, the fun continues with a wintry wonderland, where visitors can experience the Disney Frozen Snow Globe.
The decor offers lots of photo opportunity with Disney characters, and The Pavilion Dream Express fundraising charity rides are also back by popular demand.
The launch concluded with Huawei staging a “Snowy Christmas” experience at the main entrance.
Every night until Dec 25, visitors will be able to experience “snowfall” at 8pm, by Huawei.
