Sarawak faces shortage of quarry sand and aggregate

KUCHING: The Sarawak construction industry is facing an unprecedented shortage of quarry aggregate and quarry sand.

The acute shortage is blamed on a steep spike in demand from the on-going RM16bil Pan Borneo Highway project, Sarawak’s most ambitious infrastructure project.
