Welfare Dept conducting checks on nurseries in bid to legalise childcare services


THE Social Welfare Department (JKM) is checking on all nurseries (taska) in Putrajaya as part of the move to legalise the childcare centre industry.

"JKM officers are talking to both licensed and unlicensed nurseries, and finding out why operators are running unlicensed units," said Deputy Women, Family and Community Development Minister Hannah Yeoh.
