Fuel up and add value to lives of needy children

MALAYSIANS are invited to make a difference to the lives of underprivileged children once again through the Shell Raya Charity Campaign 2018.

In its fourth year, the initiative in collaboration with Mastercard has been expanded to take place for nine days, with an increased donation of up to 2sen for every litre of fuel pumped.

On June 2 as well as from June 9 to 14, Shell will donate 1 sen for every litre of fuel pumped at any Shell station nationwide. An additional donation of 1 sen per litre will be made by Mastercard when motorists pay using credit card.

Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd and Shell Timur Sdn Bhd Managing Director Shairan Huzani Husain said, “Through the generous support of Malaysians over the past three years, we have made a difference to the lives of more than 5,200 underprivileged children.

“This year, Shell is proud to have Mastercard as an exclusive partner for the campaign. Together with all Malaysians, we are confident of empowering more children and giving them hope for a brighter future.”

Mastercard Malaysia and Brunei country manager Perry Ong said, “This initiative underscores Mastercard’s commitment to support important causes, such as children’s development as part of its global Priceless Causes effort which brings together partners and cardholders to do good.

This year, the campaign will reach out to seven welfare organisations across the country: The Kalsom Movement, Yayasan Chow Kit, Malaysia Children's Welfare Council, Project T.R.Y, Pertubuhan Ibu Bapa Kanak-Kanak Keperluan Istimewa Sarawak, Montfort Youth Training Centre in Sabah and HAUS in Sarawak.
