Proud moment for Penang footballers

• At the Penang State Assembly 

PENANG Malay Football Association (PBMPP) won the Piala Emas Raja-Raja by defeating Kelantan 2-1 in the final.

The match held at Sultan Muhammad IV stadium in Kota Baru, Kelantan, on Sunday night saw Penang winning the trophy for the first time in 15 years.

PBMPP president Mohammad Foaz brought the trophy to the Penang state assembly on Monday.

“This is for Penang. We wish to share the honour of winning this trophy with the flood victims and bring some good news to them.”

The team also collected RM2,052 to help lighten the burden of the flood victims.

Mohammad passed the cheque to Deputy Chief Minister I Datuk Mohd Rashid Hasnon at the state assembly.
