Chancellor’s fund raises RM1.8mil

JOHOR BARU: A fund to help Universiti Teknologi Malaysia’s students has raised close to RM1.8mil within four days.

The idea was the brainchild of Permaisuri of Johor, Raja Zarith Sofiah Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah who is also UTM chancellor. She said the fund is expected to benefit about 5,000 less fortunate students from the university.
