Still no solution to Sabah seafood restaurant kidnapping

KOTA KINABALU: The families of two Malaysians kidnapped from a Sandakan seafood restaurant five months ago can only depend on the government and elected representatives to help secure their freedom.

The Sabah United Chinese Chamber of Commerce (SUCCC) said the families of restaurant manager Thien Nyuk Fun, 50, and electrical engineer Bernard Then Ted Fen, 39, could not afford the ransom demanded by southern Philippines gunmen.
