TEMERLOH: Three raids. Three people arrested. The offence is related to gas cylinders.
All three were detained separately in Maran, Lanchang and Mentakab industrial park.
Two of them were workers, both aged 40, and a shop owner, aged 50.
Temerloh Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism Office head Ahmad Fitri Ali said nearly 1,000 gas cylinders were seized in the raids.
Ahmad Fitri said the value was worth RM306,760.
“We also seized a lorry, receipts and sales invoices.
“The case will be investigated under the Control of Supplies Act 1961 and Control of Supplies Regulations 1974,” he said.
If convicted, the three could face a jail term of up to three years and a fine of up to RM3mil.
Ahmad Fitri praised his officers led by Mohd Hashim Md Daud for the success.
He urged the public to give information for action to be taken against dishonest traders.
